Slow-no-wake is in Effect for Potter Lake

4/16/2026 - Slow-no-wake is in effect for Potter Lake until further notice.  Slow-no-wake signs have also been posted at designated locations around Potter Lake. Due to high lake levels, no person shall operate a watercraft in excess of slow, no wake in any area of the lake. Slow-no-wake is the lowest speed at which a boat can maintain steerage. The Lake District operations crew has been monitoring the dam over the last several days, and it was determined that the gate should be opened to allow for greater release of water. Once the water level at the dam returns to 8.8, the gate will be closed, and the slow-no-wake signs will be removed. Thank you to our operations crew for all their work, and watch for updates!
